On February 22, 2020, Citizens Medical Center will hold their 4th annual Run Against Cancer 1/2 Marathon and 5K. The Victoria Area Road Runners Association (VARRA) is the host Run Club for this event and we wish to invite you to come train with us! Our 16 week training begins on Monday, October 30 at 6:15 PM at the Victoria East High School (at the head of the Hike and Bike Trail).

This is for beginners as well as advanced runners. You do NOT need to be a VARRA member to come train with us! Come run with us and learn about running mechanics, nutrition, endurance and more.

Our run schedule will be 3 days per week at the following times / locations:

  • Mondays - 6:15 PM - Victoria East High School (head of the Hike and Bike Trail)
  • Wednesdays - 6:30 PM - TBD, Normally Children's park at Riverside Park
  • Saturdays - 6:30 AM - Riverside Stadium

Be sure to have a good, comfortable pair of running shoes and a water bottle that you feel comfortable running with. All runners will be assigned a VARRA Mentor that will help you with your training and answer any specific questions you may have.
